Okay, so I decided to switch up my pre-workout for a bit. As you probably know, I usually take 4Gauge, but I cycled off for a while.
I heard some good things about MuscleTech’s Vapor X5, so I thought I would try it for you guys.
I will thoroughly review this pre-workout soon, but here are my initial thoughts based on my own personal experience.
Remember, this short review compares being on a Vapor X5 pre-workout versus not taking any pre-workout at all.
Serving Size & Preparation
Although the serving size is 9 grams, I went with 12 grams; it’s just how I scooped it out of the container. 🙂
It mixed well and tasted refreshing; I got the “Miami Spring Break” flavor. It’s very pinkish with a tropical punch taste!
You can also buy two other flavors now: “Blue Razz Freeze” and “Fruit Punch Blast.”
After 15 minutes
I started to feel the effects of the Beta-alanine. An itching sensation across my forehead. You either love it, don’t mind it, or hate it.Â
I quite like it; it lets me know I am ready to workout.
After 30 minutes
I feel pumped up, and I am at the gym. I usually do a series of bodyweight exercises to warm up. Navy Seal’s style CrossFit sort of thing.
It includes push-ups, pull-ups, dive bomber push-ups, bodyweight squats, burpees, and some star jumps.
I noticed I had way more energy than expected, and the whole thing was executed flawlessly quicker than usual.
The Weights Workout
It was a great full-body workout, I have to say, and the two elements that I noticed the most were….
Extra Reps
I was able to squeeze out an extra rep on most exercises. There was more power in my performance of the exercises. I noticed it mainly when doing an incline bench. Squeezed out 13 reps rather than 11 reps for that weight.
Sustained Energy For The Full 2 Hours
Okay, so I am a gym rat; I like to do long workouts.Â
Typically, when I do 20 minutes of cardio at the end of the training, I am completely beat and can’t wait to finish.
During this workout, I still had plenty of energy and really enjoyed the quick walk on the treadmill.
Key Ingredients Overview
1,600 Milligrams of Beta-Alanine
Beta-Alanine naturally stimulates carnosine production within your body. This helps reduce the buildup of lactic acid, combating muscle fatigue and enhancing performance during intense training sessions.
1,500 Milligrams of Creatine Monohydrate
Creatine is a natural compound found in muscle cells that aids in energy production, especially during heavy lifting or high-intensity interval training (HIIT).
1.25 Milligrams of Betaine
Betaine is both naturally produced in your body and found in foods like beets and spinach. It contributes to muscle growth and increased strength.
750 Milligrams of Nitrosigine
Nitrosigine is a patented ingredient complex scientifically formulated to boost nitric oxide levels, resulting in impressive muscle pumps.
Conclusion
This is a great pre-workout, and I am going to give you a proper review of it soon, not just my own experience with it.
As I mentioned, it’s not for everyone; if you don’t like the itching side effects from the beta-alanine, then I would steer clear.Â
