Winter is often a cold and depressing time. It can also seem to take forever for the sun to make its return.
But, once it does you should get out and make the most of it. In fact, you should consider nude sunbathing!
Of course you need to consider the location when you sunbathe; there is no point in antagonizing others or even breaking the law.
As soon as you have located the right spot, relax and enjoy the sunshine; knowing that it offers you a wide range of other benefits:
More Vitamin D
You can obtain vitamin D from food. Unfortunately it is not present in many food types. However, it is produced as soon as ultraviolet rays touch your skin.
Vitamin D should be an important part of your diet. It is essential for calcium absorption in your stomach and ensures your bones remain strong. Low levels of vitamin D are linked with osteoporosis.
It also plays an important role in cell growth, improved immune system and can even reduce inflammation.
In short it will help to ensure your bones, organs and skin are healthy. Lying naked in the sun for 15 minutes a day can give you a huge vitamin D boost.
Reduced Toxins
But nude sunbathing can do more!
Sweat is more than just a means to remove excess heat from your body. The sweat also carries toxins out of your body.
Unfortunately when you are clothed these toxins remain on your clothes. In turn you can simply reabsorb these toxins!
This can result in a wide number of skin complaints.
But if you indulge in some naked sunbathing the toxins will be eliminated for good.
Enhanced Testosterone Levels
You might be surprised to learn that sunlight can actually boost your T levels!
There are direct links between increased amounts of vitamin D3 and higher testosterone levels.
One specific study showed that your testosterone production can be increased by 120% just by getting sun onto your bar back!
Imagine how good it is getting sun all over.
Greater Weight Loss
It is thought that ultraviolet rays can help you to feel satisfied, effectively reducing your appetite.
This can help you to lose weight and avoid becoming obese. As obesity is linked with the development of type 2 diabetes sunbathing naked can actually help you to stay healthy.
Sunlight does more than make you feel good! The warmth helps to widen blood vessels and encourages your body to produce nitric oxide (which also widens blood vessels).
The consequence is a better flow of blood, oxygen and nutrients round your body; improving your overall health.
Lowers Blood Pressure
As sunlight promotes the production of nitric oxide and widens the blood vessels your blood pressure will actually be reduced.
This is a great benefit if you have high blood pressure or are older and unable to exercise as much as you would like.
It can help to stave off a variety of cardiac issues as you age.
You’re Not Alone!
It seems likely that the ancient Greek’s were the first to actively engage in nude sunbathing. It is best to follow their lead and do it early morning or late evening.
Your shadow should be longer than you and you must ensure you have a private place to practice. You don’t want to be arrested just for being healthy and nude in the sun!

Here is an interesting question on how much vitamin D you can make from sunbathing answered by Dr. Cannell at the Vitamin D Council:

I’m able to tan naked every weekend when its warm. It’s something I look forward too. My mood and everything feel better after getting sun all over. Also, there is nothing sexual or deviant about it.

If your shadow is longer than you, you can’t make vitamin D because it is UVB rays which make vitamin D and they only hit the ground at certain angles of the sun.You should be sunbathing around noon. You may in fact get the non vitamin D specific benefits but you are also getting too many harmful UVA rays and no UVB to counteract it. The same rays that burn you are the same rays that give you vitamin D.
