The Secret to Raising Testosterone in Men

By James McAra Leave a Comment

It’s a fact that testosterone decreases as you age. It goes down by as much as 1% every year after the age of 30!

Your testosterone levels actually peak fairly early on at the age of 18!

Unfortunately many people take biogenic hormones, such as anabolic steroids which actually deactivate your testosterone producing facilities. This can often result in shrinking testicles and other side effects.

In this video Dr. Eric Berg talks about how you can raise the male hormone naturally.

Recognize the Symptoms of Low Testosterone

It is important to know what the symptoms of low testosterone are in order to focus on improving your testosterone levels.

  • Enlarged prostate – This is a result of estrogen dominance which is triggered by low levels of testosterone.Testosterone is converted into estrogen in your body. The more estrogen you have the higher the conversion rate.

The higher the level of estrogen the more likely it is that you will have prostate enlargement. Here is a list of the other main symptoms:

  • Low libido
  • Erectile problems
  • Decreased muscle mass and reduced strength
  • Development of man boobs
  • Fatigue / lack of energy
  • Hair loss on lower body
  • Voice gets higher

The Causes of Low Testosterone

Age is obviously one of the biggest causes of testosterone loss. But there are other factors which can decrease your T levels:

  • Estrogen– Substances known as Xenoestrogens are in most processed foods and drinks. They are even present in some tap water. These mimic the behavior of estrogen convincing your body that you have high levels of estrogen and encouraging it to produce more!
  • Fatty Liver – This is another way of producing more estrogen and decreasing testosterone.
  • High insulin levels – This increases every time you eat and stops the production of testosterone in your body.
  • Medications – High blood pressure medications, diabetes medication and statins will reduce your T levels.
  • High Aromatase – This is an enzyme in your body made by your adrenals and testes. It converts testosterone to estrogen. High levels of this enzyme are not good!

Raising Your Testosterone Levels

Now you know how and why your normal testosterone levels are decreasing it’s important to know how to deal with the issue:

  • Stinging Nettle has been shown to inhibit aromatase.
  • Zinc also decreases levels of your aromatase.
  • Testosterone Booster Supplements – Special Nutrient formulas using clinically proven natural ingredients work with the body’s natural processes to support and raise testosterone. Look at the best testosterone boosters on the market for maximum results.

Increasing growth hormone is also important to improve your T levels. This is because wherever you find growth hormone testosterone will naturally appear.

You can increase growth hormone by:

  • Diet – moderate the amount of protein with every meal.
  • Sleep – You should get between 6 and 8 hours every night to reduce stress and balance your hormones.
  • Intense Exercise – You need to complete high intensity workouts which really push your body. This will cause a spike in growth hormone and testosterone. Deadlifts are a great example of this.
  • Intermittent Fasting – this will prevent the spikes in insulin levels that can reduce testosterone levels.

In fact you should eat only when you are hungry, not specifically 3 or 4 meals per day.

  • Dark Green Vegetables – these will help to clear estrogen from your body, allowing your body to produce more testosterone.
  • Reduce Cortisol – this is your stress hormone. Sleep and sun are great ways to reduce this. Low cortisol will allow your body to use its resources to produce testosterone instead of cortisol.

Most of these remedies are easy to incorporate into your lifestyle and can make a huge difference to your health as well as your overall quality of life and happiness.
