5 Proven Ways to Treat Low Testosterone Naturally

By James McAra Leave a Comment

In this video, Dr. Axe talks about natural treatment for low testosterone. This is a very common problem that affects more men than you may think.

In particular Dr. Axe recommends supplementing with vitamin D3 daily, eating healthy fats and weight training 3 to 5 days a week.

My thoughts?

The video provides some useful tips on how to elevate your T levels. Here are the main points that stuck out for me as I reviewed the video:

  1. Testosterone Boosting Ingredients

Low levels of Vitamin D will absolutely crush your testosterone levels.

You should supplement with 5000 IUs of vitamin D3 daily if you are not getting enough direct sunlight every day. This especially true for men living in Northern countries with less sunlight hours or men who spent a lot of time indoors.

Ginseng – This adaptogenic herb has been shown to naturally support healthy testosterone levels.

You can find effective doses for these nutrients in our recommended testosterone boosters.

  2. Intermittent Fasting

Has been shown to increase test levels by 400% when combined with a weight lifting program.

You eat three meals per day. Skipping breakfast, you eat one at noon, one at 3pm and the last meal around 6pm. Make sure to drink plenty of water.

Eating meals closer together allows your organs to rest, especially your liver which is so vital to naturally balancing hormones, especially testosterone.

  3. Heavy Weight Training

Lifting heavy weights 3 to 5 times a week will boost T levels. You should see good results with 30 to 60 minute sessions. Works well when combined with the intermittent fasting.

  4. Healthy Fats

Add healthy fats into your diet, there are 3 types you should consume:

    • Saturated fats found in coconut oil and raw organic dairy products such as natural yogurt.
    • Healthy omega 3 fatty acids found in salmon, flax seeds, chia seeds and walnuts.
    • Mono-unsaturated fats – Good sources are olive oil, avocados, and almonds.

Most men with low T are consuming too much junk food and too much carbohydrate so you need to get rid of that stuff.

  5. Detox your liver

If you struggle with anger issues, resentment, unforgiveness or frustration then they can cause you low testosterone over time.

Write down on paper a list of people you need to forgive and forgive them. If you have resentment issues then start working to resolve them by looking at personal growth books or seeking out a counselor.

Dr Axe turns to the bible for guidance when these problems arise. Resolving such psychological issues will naturally help raise your testosterone levels.

So there are 5 great tips for you, but you need to experiment to find out what works best for you. We recommend you read more about the benefits of boosting your T levels next.
